Style : How to Deal with a Fashion Crisis

Run in your pantyhose? Stain on your new blouse? Tear in your jeans? These are everyday fashion crisis'. By following these easy tips, you'll be out the door in no time.

1. Stay calm. No one ever accomplished anything by freaking out.

2. Identify the problem. Know exactly what's wrong and how it happened.

3. Try not to make it worse. If there's a hole or a stain in something, don't mess with it and don't smear it. This will only make the problem that much worse.

4. Dab, don't rub. You've heard this 1,000 times but it's true. By dabbing a fresh stain, you're removing anything that hasn't settled yet. By rubbing it, you're thinning the stain, causing it to soak in.

5. Don't pull or poke. If you have a tear, please, for the love of God, DO NOT play with it. Yes, I know, it looks fun. But, a huge rip won't be very fun when all of your co-workers are pointing and laughing.

6. Clear nail polish. This trick is the oldest one in the book. For any rip in your pantyhose, this will do the trick.

7. Stridex. This is normally used on your face. But, Stridex works to remove dirt from your face, as well as make-up. Any and every fresh stain can be taken care of with one Stridex pad. (This is the only exception to "Dab, don't rub." Scrub the heck out of that bad boy.)

8. Change your clothes. After you get the stain out or paint your hose with nail polish, change. No matter how good it looks, it still needs to be washed immediately.

9. Always have a second option. Like I said, any fresh stain, removed or not, needs to be washed right away. Make sure you always have 2 outfits handy, just in case.
